THE BARET EXPLORERS BAND ALLOWS THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE TO TAKE PART IN THEIR SONGS
IT DEALS WITH DEEP AND PHILOSOPHICAL SUBJECTS INCLUDING THE WORDS OF THE AUDIENCE, ITS SPONTANEITY. 1ST RESULT WITH THEIR NEW SINGLE "TWO SOULS IN A BOX".
FIRST STEP: THE CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
Through social networks, the Baret Explorers asked their fans to send an audio recording of their 30-second words, using their smartphone, expressing themselves on the theme "how is your daily life in confinement".
Thousands of fans answered the call, and the Baret Explorers received 2469 recordings.
STEP TWO : DIVE THE INTERVIEWEE INTO A ROLE PLAYING GAME
The band randomly selected 5 people, who were called for a special interview : immersive, this interview immerses the person in a unique setting and adventure.
As a kind of role-playing game where the interviewee is the hero of this adventure.
The objective is to evolve through this journey and to answer as spontaneously as possible, in order to bring out instantaneous emotions, reflections, and thus obtain rich and unique sentences.
THIRD STEP: INTEGRATE THESE SENTENCES INTO MUSIC
Pieces of phrases from the recording are included at the heart of the music. Just listen to the first song from this concept "Two souls in a box" to see the result.
This is how the recordings were made. The Baret Explorers want to share their messages and touch the adventurer that sleeps deep inside all of us.
If every music is a rainbow, then every instrument and every voice is a colour. By adding your colours, then the message carried by the song lights up.
YOU WANT AN EXAMPLE ?
LET'S GO ! WE'RE TAKING YOU IN FOR THE BARET EXPLORERS INTERVIEW,
YOU WILL FIGURE IT OUT BETTER !
To be more spontaneous and in real life conditions, every time you see this symbol you have to answer quickly.
For example: you turn up the sound of the radio while you are driving towards "" (a restaurant ? your house ? Tahiti ??).
This way you can even be surprised by your own answers!
… READY ? THEN SET UP, RELAX…
You are currently on the deck of your boat. The sails are slightly inflated by a warm wind. Your boat is called . It's coloured . And so far, so good.
You have been sailing with for almost two months now. You are going in a very special direction, because you want to go to . And the currents and storms will not prevent you from reaching your destination.
As you look up at the sky, you can see big black clouds in the distance that make the horizon disappear in a swirl of water. How does that make you feel? what is the first thing you do in this state of emergency?
Who's the most reassuring thing between you and the person on board?
The storm makes the boat swirl and threatens to capsize with every wave that crashes against the hull. The power of the ocean is about to crack the main mast. If it breaks, then you'll be lost forever in the waves. You grab onto with all your might and tell yourself that . And the storm passes. You're alive... and your boat is barely a scratch.
To make sure everything's back to normal, you climb your mast for maximum visibility. That's when, on the horizon line... You see a dark mass. The sun is about to set, but you're almost sure that this is your destination! So you suddenly turn around to your co-pilot at the other end of the boat and shout to him: !!
But as you get closer, you realize that it wasn't land and that fatigue is playing tricks on you. What do you feel?
The wind's gone down. Nothing's moving. The sea is smooth and the sun is aggressive. It's been days since you've made any progress. Besides, you no longer have your favorite meal on board which is . It must have been your companion who ate it all while you were sleeping! What does your belly want to tell him? what's the reason why you won't bicker about it any longer? which tends to calm things down? how?
While you're trying to sin to ease your stomach cramps. Suddenly you start to jump. You open your eyes wide, you're not dreaming, the earth is there! There's no doubt about it! You'll be able to get off this boat in an hour! What do you tell yourself thinking about all you've been through? You've been locked up for weeks and the thought of getting out and finding civilization makes you . The first thing you're going to do is . And you're gonna go to and tell her all about it.
You have survived a hostile environment and you've been able to take your pain in your stride. You even managed to make this trip beautiful. I'm proud of that.
So you jump out of your boat and as you walk away, you tell yourself that maybe one day you'll go back to sea to go to . But this time you will be in the company of and you will take more things on board like and . And above all, you'll take an internet connection to listen to all the new songs of Baret Explorers!
